After 59 years on this planet, I’ve yet to have that dream where you’re naked atop an Aztec temple with only a sun-god headdress on and thousands of worshippers throw tiny pickles at your body.

I am 7 ft tall, while standing on my 14-inch soapbox extolling on some opinion or other, while only the snails and a penguin or two pause to listen. Or at least I tell myself they are listening.

My picture tells the rest of the story from the cover’s point of view. On the inside, are chapters of convoluted text, even a dangling participle or two, depending on what you are looking at.

I joined the Bear411 community to meet guys that typically don’t hang out at bars, produce departments or the third floor of the downtown library. I typically don’t smoke, unless I’m standing too close to the stove, and as a habit don’t kiss, lick or otherwise place my mouth in or on ashtrays. Needless to say, I find the habit a big turn-off.

If you’re still hanging in with this stuff without wondering “Where are his stats?” then congratulations you win a gold star. Now for the bad news. I don’t play with guys who have partners, wives or significant others. I’m in this for the real thing and eventually hope to meet Mr. Just Right. For some reason I'm not a fan of the term "Long-term-relationship" That still sounds temporary to me. I prefer the term "Permanent Relationship" and without exception, if we commit to a relationship, monogamy is a MUST.

Not to drag this out too much further, I appreciate the opportunity to meet people in face to face situations, talk with them directly and all that good stuff, but for goodness sakes, not until we have developed a comfortable rapport with each other. If the chemistry is there, we will get together.


And whats with these one word conversations? Tell me if I misunderstood, but isn't a chat site supposed to involve chat?

You know, I was sitting here scrolling through profiles and asking myself what I was looking for. Then a thought moved through my head and it said: "Love is an investment portfolio. When you're younger, you can afford to invest in riskier ventures - you have time to recover. When you're older, your portfolio moves to blue chip and bonds - something more stable and lasts the rest of your life." I guess I'm looking for a blue chip/Bond to invest my emotions into.

There - I can step off the soapbox and return to being 5’ 10” again.
